Presbyterian Women's Association

The Presbyterian Women of Westminster (WOW) is connected to the Presbyterian Women (PW), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with the Presbyterian Church USA. While the PW is guided by and supports the mission of the church worldwide, our leadership, programs, and budgets are independent.

Our Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to:
  • nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • work for justice and peace, and
  • build an inclusive, caring community of women who strengthen the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witness the promise of God's kingdom.
 Activities
WOW has activities and services throughout the year:
  • three organization meetings per year
  • two rummage sales to raise money
  • monthly executive board meetings open to all
  • a Gifts of Women Sunday where women provide worship services
  • a Mother's Day baby shower where we collect and distribute baby items for women in need
  • a member recognition of women who have provided faithful service in some area of the church's work
  • funeral luncheons
  • meals for special occasions, such as when WPC hosts Presbytery meetings or other events.

Now to Him who by the power at work within us, is able to do far more

abundantly than all that we ask or think, to Him be glory in the Church,

and in Christ Jesus, to all generations for ever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20-21
